FileZilla, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) tutorial: How it works

Steps i: Download any of the FTP client software from the link.

• FTP FileZilla (Mac OS or Windows) free usable URL: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client
• Cyberduck (Mac OS or Windows), free usable URL: https://cyberduck.io/?l=en
• Fetch (only Mac OS), useable URL: http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/download/

Steps ii: Install the FTP (client site software) on your computer.

Steps iii: Send a request to get your FTP account details. Only registered clients are allowed. If you are not registered yet, please create a free account.

Steps iv: Connecting with FTP account are almost the same process for all the mentioned free FTP software. You will be required to use the credentials we provide you. For example

• Host: ftp.clippingoutsource.com
• Username: [email protected]
• Password: Will be given

This is used in FileZilla (FTP) client software only.

1. Click on the icon cycled in green color.
2. You will see a popup window, click on the New Site button.
3. It will create a new site as untitled, Give a name such as your username. 
4. Now the most important part is this big green box. Use the provided info, for example
    Host: ftp.clippingoutsource.com
   Protocol: FTP – File Transfer Protocol
   Encryption: Only use plain FTP (insecure) or Plain FTP.
   Logon Type: Normal
   Username: [email protected]
   Password: provided by us. Make sure all are selected as mentioned.

 5. Finally, Click on the Connect button which is marked number Five.

FTP-connection

Excellent, now you are connected with your FTP account and able to upload-download files from your local computer to our server. You will have an unlimited amount of disk space to transfer files every month. If you cannot connect your account, send a request to our support team.
